I received a box of Taylormade TP2 Golf Balls as a gift and finally tried them out today at the course. My first shot was to a par 3 with a pitching wedge. The ball hit on the green and spun back off into the rough. I went up to the green and found the ball mark. The ball had spun back 22 feet from the ball mark. Considering that it probably bounced forward at least three feet after it landed, it really spun back about 25 feet. Granted, it did hit into a slight incline and spun back on a down-slope. But that was crazy. I felt like Greg Norman.
For the rest of the round, the Taylormade TP2 Golf Ball pretty much ended up at or slightly behind its ball mark. Conditions were a bit damp but this ball has some serious spin. I stopped one dead in its tracks with a five iron. I’m going to have to try it again on a dry day to see how it does but for today, it was crazy spintastic. |
