How did I pull off this shot – weekly golf puzzler?

Here I was on the fifth hole at Bridgeview Golf Course after my drive. I had about 60-70 yards to the hole. As you can see, I was pretty much stymied on my approach shot. I couldn’t swing without whacking the tree with my left arm and club. Luckily my creativity was working today, and I actually hit this shot onto the green and made the birdie putt from 21 feet away. Tell me how I did it.

Here’s a better look at the hole. I was to the right (in the trees) of the golfer walking up the hill.

The answer – None of the Above – I hit this shot one handed with my right hand. The club still hit the tree but not hard enough to damage it. I hit it a little high and got lucky by getting through some branches. One hand shots with the right hand have a tendency to draw so play for the draw. This is one of those cases where I went from staring bogey in the face to making birdie. How’s that for a change of pace?
