The finishing hole at Granville Golf Course – 125 foot drop from tee to green
Here’s one of my favorite finishing holes in central Ohio. This is the 18th at Granville Golf Course. Not only is it a beautiful hole but it has treated me well in years past – I’ll forgive the 18th for my most recent score, however. Is there any possible way to improve upon such a great finishing hole?
Well, believe it or not, there is. In fact, if you look closely, a lone bagpiper is standing next to the bunkers on the right.
Jeff Linn, The Highland Piper
Jeff was so kind as to let me take a video as he performed. Imagine being on top of the tee, several hundred yards away, and hearing that in the distance. Very inspiring. My thanks to Bill for hiring Jeff for the outing.

See ya next year!
Jeff Linn performs Amazing Grace
I used to attend Liberty Presbyterian Church before they built the huge church barn. Once or twice a year, David Redding would have about a half dozen bagpipers come into the church and fill it with music. You talk about inspiring. That music used to cut right through me. Amazing Grace was usually one of the songs on tap. Jeff was kind enough to take a request.
