I was watching the Toshiba Open today and coverage went to Allen Doyle at the par 5 15th hole. It appeared to me that as he addressed his chip shot from just off the green that his ball moved backwards. Doyle went ahead and hit the ball and recorded a par at the 15th. I forgot that I had the power of DVR to watch it again. I’ll see if the Golf Channel replays it again tonight and record it. I believe that that would be a 2 shot penalty.

I rewatched it but the Golf Channel edited the broadcast as Langer and Haas went into a sudden death playoff that lasted well nigh an hour. I’ll have to look again at the beginning to see if Doyle’s ball moved on that chip shot.
