Best Central Ohio Golf Deals 2025, Season Pass Edition

Champions Golf Course, part of the Columbus Pass, hole #6

Feb. 22, 2025 If you play a lot of golf, are looking for the best deal in town, and do not want to join a private club, the Columbus Golf Pass is the way to go. The City of Columbus raised the prices in 2024 because it was too good a deal at the previous rates.

Above are the current 2025 rates. The City of Columbus does not seem to put much marketing behind these passes, so this is not only the best deal in Central Ohio, it is also the best hidden golf deal in Central Ohio. The year-long pass begins on the date you purchase the pass. Almost all other courses offering a membership require you to purchase a season pass in or before March and the pass expires around the end of November. The Columbus Pass lasts one year from the date of purchase. If you buy a pass June 16, 2025, it expires June 15, 2026.

The Columbus Pass allows you to play all six City courses – Airport, Champions, Mentel, Raymond, Turnberry and Wilson Road. I buy the weekday (M-F) walking pass for $1000. Prior to 2024, it used to be $850 which was a steal. I believe it was just $800 in 2023. I put in 90 eighteen-hole rounds in 2024 on City courses, making my per round average, $9.44. I prefer to play Champions, Mentel and Turnberry.

If you are a high school student, under 18 years old, $350 for a year pass at the City courses is too good to pass up. What a deal!

How could the City make this a better deal and make more money? Offer an unlimited range pass for maybe $300-400 a year. Of course, most, if not all, City ranges close for some or all of the winter but it would still be a great deal that many would buy. Champions recently built tees for hitting mats at its range. I don’t think it would take too much to create a few heated bays or, at least, covered hitting bays to allow for relief from the summer sun or rain throughout the year.

What is the other option in Central Ohio for a multi-course membership? The Columbus Collective offers a five course, 7 days a week, membership for $3300, The pass begins on the day of purchase and ends on Dec. 31. Riding cart is included. The five courses are Bent Tree, Clover Valley, Glenross, New Albany Links, and Royal American Links. Note that the Columbus Golf Pass is $2300 for 7 days a week riding at all of its six courses.

The Columbus Collective also offers a Bronze membership for $2500 which gets you your choice of one of the above five courses with riding cart and unlimited golf Monday through Thursday.

If you live on the outskirts of Central Ohio, many public courses offer a year pass. In Licking County, The Links at Echo Springs offers an unlimited season pass with cart for $2250. If purchased during their Black Friday deal, you can save a chunk of change. You also have the option to pay $750 for the year and save about 50% on daily greens fees ($27 with cart for 18 and $17 with cart for 9). Black Friday deal on this was $500.

Other season long pass opportunities in Central Ohio include Split Rock Golf Club, Denison Golf Club, National Golf Links, Darby Creek, Mill Creek, Cumberland Trail, Delaware Golf Club, Kingsmill, Deer Ridge, Willow Run, and more.
