You know, we, at breakfast, talked about golf etiquette with Christina. She didn’t know that she had stepped in Sam’s line and walked before Sam finished putting. She didn’t know that she wasn’t totally professional in some of the situations yesterday. Kim was talking to her as a professional about the etiquette and so, you know, I’m sure she’s feeling ganged up on because of yesterday’s elimination. But you know today’s a new day and we need to get back to business and work on things today.
We get to the wall challenge, the fade and draw wall. . . and I didn’t even see it. I was oblivious to it but Kim saw her do something against the rules of golf and Kim called it. And they reviewed the tape and it showed that she did step down behind the ball and improve her lie. So that’s just golf. That’s just the rules of golf. We’ve all been called on something. We’ve all been penalized on something and yes it’s even bigger that it happened here and today and on television and she hit a good shot and knocked it in for four points now she’s going to lose those points. So I’m sure she, you know, keeps feeling like we’re ganging up on her. You know that’s protecting the integrity of golf and Kim protecting herself and the field and the rest of us. I didn’t see it so I really couldn’t say but, you know, I would think that if anyone of us did it, Christina would have done the same thing. We’re put under a microscope and little things are happening and girls are girls and we are caddy and we are emotional and we are getting at each other. It’s getting down to the end and we’re getting at each other. So I think it’s going to be another quiet room for me tonight. But I’m ok with that. I’m kind of quiet. So I’m okay with it being that a little icy.
All I can say is, you’re an idiot, Lori. What a joke! She tries to put the blame on Kim for calling out Christina on the “rules” violation. Maybe Kim noticed it but Lori was the one shown on camera pointing it out to whomever at the golf channel. What exactly was the rules violation anyways? She could place the ball anywhere in the box so who cares if she tamped down a divot.

Tiger’s shot on 13 ultimately did him in
Woods pulled off a miraculous shot at 13 which gave him the confidence to try what would have been an even more miraculous shot at 15, a slice 5 iron from 228 yards. The shot on 15 turn out to be ill advised. He did save par but in reality a par on 15 is a bogey especially when you are 3 behind at the time.
2007 Masters: A complete bore
Besides the lousy announcers (Faldo excluded), the 2007 Masters was a complete bore. Sure there was a little intrigue with Tiger trying to fight his troubled swing and come from three behind, but Masters tournament organizers had made the course so tough that the back nine on Sunday (typically the most exciting 9 holes of golf) was devoid of excitement. Where were the slew of birdies and eagles that allowed competitors to make a final 9 charge?
Granted Woods did have a back nine eagle and then completely blew it on 15 going for another, there were no other notable fireworks. Perhaps Masters tournament geniuses will figure it out next year and bring back the opportunity for the most exciting nine holes in golf.
