The SkyCaddie has to be the way to go to lower your handicap. A friend of mine is getting one and I’m thinking about pulling the trigger myself. I’ll do a bit more research on the SkyCaddie and report soon.

I tried the one round free trial of shotbyshot.com. From what I’ve gathered, it looks like it compares several stats from your game with known statistics of other handicappers. I estimate that I’m about an 11 handicap and I want to get in the 6-9 handicap range.
After entering one round, here’s what I’ve found out.
TaylorMade r7 QUAD – 9.5
Ever since I hit one of these back in March, I’ve been itchin’ to get my own and give it a complete once-over. I picked it up on ebay for $97. Not a bad deal. Hopefully, I’ll have it in my itchy palms by Saturday. After this, I may pick up the SuperQuad just to see what the difference is.

Sudden Death at The 2008 Player’s Championship
This may have been the most exciting tournament of the year and here’s the Sudden Death at the Player’s Championship. It sure made the Masters look boring. Who said golf would suffer without Tiger Woods. If anything, it’s only gotten better. Paul Goydos sure earned a lot of new fans.
Listen closely and you’ll hear the wind gust right after Goydos hits his shot. What a tough break. Speaking of breaks, Garcia got a huge one when the wind waited to gust after his shot hit the green.

Turnberry Golf Course is holding the first of seven Family Friday Nights this Fri., May 16.
