Par 4 10th at Westchester
Here’s the dogleg right par 4 10th hole at Westchester. You can cut the corner if you are daring but you won’t gain much. Just hit it out there straight and you’ll have only a hundie to the hole.

Par 5 11th at Westchester
Pretty bland is the 11th. Just stay out of the long grass and you can have go for it in two.

Par 5 11th at Westchester
Here’s where I stood on my second into 11. I caught my second a little fat and ended up 30 yards short of the green. It’s probably just as well as things get real tight around the green. Save yourself a couple strokes and play this as a three shot par 5.

Par 3 12th at Westchester
Tiny green with water up the right side. As you can see they were aerating during the first week of October. Some maintenance dork had driven a vehicle on the green that didn’t belong there and my ball came to rest in his tire track.

Par 4 13th at Westchester
It’s always tempting to go for this hole with the tees up. Save yourself the trouble and play it as an easy two shot par 4.

Par 5 14th at Westchester
This hole is very similar to the previous par 5 except the green is bigger and has less trouble around it. Hit the fairway and it’s a green light to go for it in two.

Par 4 15th at Westchester
This hole ain’t no big shakes and it is probably intended to give you a break before the no.1 handicap hole.

Par 4 16th at Westchester
Because of its length (440ish), this is the toughest hole on the golf course. Don’t let it scare you though. Just play for bogey and if you make par, consider it a bonus.

Tiger’s shot on 13 ultimately did him in
Woods pulled off a miraculous shot at 13 which gave him the confidence to try what would have been an even more miraculous shot at 15, a slice 5 iron from 228 yards. The shot on 15 turn out to be ill advised. He did save par but in reality a par on 15 is a bogey especially when you are 3 behind at the time.
2007 Masters: A complete bore
Besides the lousy announcers (Faldo excluded), the 2007 Masters was a complete bore. Sure there was a little intrigue with Tiger trying to fight his troubled swing and come from three behind, but Masters tournament organizers had made the course so tough that the back nine on Sunday (typically the most exciting 9 holes of golf) was devoid of excitement. Where were the slew of birdies and eagles that allowed competitors to make a final 9 charge?
Granted Woods did have a back nine eagle and then completely blew it on 15 going for another, there were no other notable fireworks. Perhaps Masters tournament geniuses will figure it out next year and bring back the opportunity for the most exciting nine holes in golf.
